October 30th, 1861
Dear aunt, i rite these few lines to you to let you no that i am well at present and hope that you are the same thare have not bin nothin of eney a count sence i rote last it is now 12 o clock wile i am riting and the lite is so dim that i cant see the lines [?] not [?] to rite no more give best to Sam and wish [?] and Aunt [?] and [OHarey McCuley?]
George Atmore is well and sends his love to his father and mother and the rest of the famley.
