ATTENTION!
CONSCRIPTS!
RECRUITS WANTED!

$100 Bounty and $25 per month Pay.

The subscriber and others have been ordered by Maj. Gen. G.W.  Smith to receive recruits for the defense of North Carolina. The Conscription law has been partially suspended for the benefit of the Conscripts. A favorable opportunity is now extended to Conscripts to volunteer, and thus secure both State and Confederate bounty. By joining my Company the recruit will receive One Hundred Dollars bounty, in addition to Twenty-five Dollars per month pay. Ours is the most healthy and desirable branch of the service. NOW IS THE TIME TO VOLUNTEER! North Carolina is invaded. It is the duty of her sons to defend her. To the rescue, sons of the “Old North State”! Your brethren in arms have had hard work to do in the battles before Goldsborough. They call upon you to help them drive back the vile invaders of our soil. Apply to me in Fayetteville, or to R.W. Hardie, Esq. at the court house.

ARCH’D McFADYEN,
Lieut. Co. A, 63d Reg’t N.C.T.
