Lost Colony at 69

July’s This Month in North Carolina History looks at the first performance of “The Lost Colony” on July 4, 1937. In researching the piece, our favorite find was the cover of the program for the 1952 season, showing a young Andy Griffith in the role of Sir Walter Raleigh.
