I have attempted several times to read novels but have been unable to bring them up for reading. What do I need to do?

Full directions for reading online materials can be accessed by clicking on the “About” tab in the right sidebar and then clicking on the “NC Novels Online” tab in the “About Submenu.” (You might want to open a second window or print out the directions so that you can follow the directions step-by-step.)

    The short version is this:
While looking at the entry for the book you want to read online, click on the “Check this title’s availability in the UNC Library Catalog” link. This will bring you to the UNC catalog, and will show you the availability of both physical and online copies of the book. Then click on the “Online Access” link under the Status heading. In the case of this novel, you will be sent to an Internet Archive site. Click on the book’s title. On the left-hand side of the new page will be a box entitled “View the Book,” with an image of the book and a list of available file types. Select the version that best meets your needs, or click on the book’s image to access a digital version that mimics a traditional book.

To see a full list of books from the blog that can be read online, click on the “Novels to Read Online” link in the far right sidebar.

    Good luck and enjoy!
