There’s not much that Ida Mae Poindexter and Claudia McNeill don’t know about their hometown of Oak Hill, North Carolina.  One thing that Ida Mae doesn’t know but longs to find out, is what happened to her sister Vonda who disappeared in 1946.  When a road construction project unearths a skeleton with a necklace that Ida Mae recognizes, she fears that her beloved sister was murdered.  Impatient with the police, Ida Mae and Claudia set off to solve the case themselves in this cozy mystery.
