The first floor of Davis Library will soon be a more inviting place to work and study, thanks to an improvement project set to begin May 10, 2010.
The project will include:
- Replacing worn carpeting in many areas;
- Repainting the walls (with color!);
- Installing computer work tables better adapted to today’s computing;
- Replacing some chairs with soft seating and small tables for comfortable study.
The Library expects to complete most work by mid-June. Some of the work may be disruptive to those working or studying on the first and second floors.
During the project period, some library materials will be temporarily relocated and may need to be paged. Some computers and photocopiers will also be relocated. If you need assistance finding or retrieving library materials, locating equipment, or using any library services, please ask at the Circulation or Reference desks.
