Patrons who wish to consult materials from the Rare Book Collection (RBC) or receive assistance from the RBC librarians and staff will do so in the reading room at the west end of the main floor, the same location as patrons of the North Carolina Collection.
The move is part of the library’s ongoing efforts to provide users with convenient services and secure reading and research spaces in Wilson Library.
The grand reading room on the third floor of Wilson Library will remain open to the public after August 2. The west half of the room will be dedicated to quiet study; the other half will be used for classes and special programs.
Reach the staff of both the Rare Book Collection and the North Carolina Collection after August 2 at (919) 962-3763. All existing telephone numbers and email addresses will also remain in operation.
