.eDU Workshops: Master e-Tools on Your Lunch Break

Do your presentations need some oomph? Would you like to know how to start a blog or website? Instructors will cover these topics and more at a series of free drop-in workshops in the R.B. House Undergraduate Library during the spring 2012 semester.

The lunchtime .eDU (for “.engage! Digital University”) workshops will take place every other Wednesday from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Librarians will introduce some of the latest electronic tools that you can use in class, at a job, or for fun.

.eDU topics are as follows:

  • Feb. 1: Prezi (presentation software)
  • Feb. 15: UNC WordPress (blogging)
  • Feb. 29: Photoshop
  • Mar. 14: Dropbox (file storage and sharing)
  • Mar. 28: Google search secrets
  • Apr. 11: Google Sites (website creation)

No registration is required for the classes, and you may attend only those sessions that interest you. General computer skills are required, but you do not need specialized prior knowledge.

For more information about .eDU classes, contact Kim Vassiliadis, Instructional Design and Technology Librarian, (919) 843-2310.
