The award, presented at a Feb. 28 gathering for Library staff, honors a University Library employee for excellence in one or more of the following categories: Community Service Activity, Commitment and Dependability, Creativity and Innovation, and Teamwork and Leadership.
Megan Kilb, E-Resources Access Librarian, was recognized as the 2011 Outstanding Employee for her creative approaches to problem solving and her drive, professionalism, and positive attitude. In late 2011, Kilb worked on the Summon/Articles+ service, demonstrating her flexibility and attention to detail while dealing with the complexity of negotiating content for UNC. Her effective and excellent service produces time-sensitive responses to patrons and librarians while enhancing the overall reputation of the Library on the UNC campus.
