Storytellers and musicians will entertain children of all ages at the Friends of the Library’s 21st annual Winter Stories program on Dec. 5 in Wilson Library.
This year’s program, with the theme “Cold but Cuddly,” will feature tales along with live instrumental music and sing-alongs.
Brian Sturm, associate professor at the UNC School of Information and Library Science (SILS), and SILS students Hannah Easley, Cameron Kania, and Dawna Neil will enchant with folk tales and literary tales from around the world.
UNC students Jessie Aldridge, Mandi Gonzalez, Meredith Hale, Amy Kemp, Eduardo Prieto, and Emily Vardell will provide music.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a new or gently used children’s book to contribute to a book drive for the Book Fairy, an organization that donates children’s books to the Pediatric Oncology Clinic at the North Carolina Children’s Hospital.
