The 3-D printer from the Kenan Science Library will move outdoors on April 24 as part of a Carolina Maker Fair in front of Davis Library.
The printer–a MakerBot Replicator 2–will be on view between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. You can also view samples of recent projects and tell us more about your makerspace needs.
The fair is a project of the student group Carolina Creates and will provide a chance for the campus community to learn about maker resources at UNC.
Activities will cover a range of interests in the maker movement, from technological innovation, to music production, to crafting. There will also be a Betabox, billed as a temporary “prototyping and ideation pod,” along with workshops and opportunities to provide feedback about maker needs on campus.
