The University Library is pleased to announce two recent appointments, effective May 1, 2014:
Luke Aeschleman is Web/Database Development Librarian in the Health Sciences Library.
Luke will lead the design and operation of the AHEC Digital Library and other AHEC Program Office systems. He will work collaboratively with the AHEC ILS network director and the director of the AHEC Digital Library to plan, design, support, and implement technologies and procedures for all AHEC library programs and other clinical support programs. Luke will report to the head of the Web Development Group.
Prior to this appointment, Luke served as the circulation and technology librarian/instructor at Barton College in Wilson, N.C. He holds a B.A. in English and theatre from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., and an M.L.I.S. from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.

Josiah Drewry is Business and Economics Librarian.
Josiah will be part of the Davis Library Research and Instructional Services department and serve as the liaison to UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and the department of economics in the College of Arts and Sciences.
He will provide business and economics research consultations for students, faculty, staff, and community members; develop business and economics collections; and help to raise awareness of scholarly communications, copyright, and authors’ rights issues.
Josiah served most recently as UNC’s social sciences librarian and subject librarian for the departments of sociology and political science. He has also held appointments as the user experience librarian at the American University in Cairo in Cairo, Egypt, and as librarian for outreach and instruction at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco.
He holds a B.A. in psychology and an M.S.L.S. from the School of Information and Library Science at UNC.
