SkillfUL Tech Workshops: Improve Your Tech Skills

skillfUL_editedDoes your web presence need a makeover? Want to perfect your photos in Photoshop? Confounded by Excel charts? Instructors will cover these topics and more at a series of free drop-in workshops in the R.B. House Undergraduate Library this semester.

The skillfUL Tech Workshop series will be held in the Undergraduate Library, Room 124, on select Tuesday afternoons and evenings. Librarians will introduce some of the latest electronic tools that you can use in class, at a job, or just for fun.

SkillfUL Tech Workshop topics:

  • Sept. 2, 7-8 p.m.: Formulas, Charts, & Graphs in Excel
  • Sept. 9, 7-8 p.m.: Code Your First Web Page with HTML
  • Sept. 16, 7-8 p.m.: Improve the Look of Your Web Page with CSS
  • Sept. 23, 7-8 p.m.: Advanced HTML & CSS*
  • Sept. 30, 3:30-4:30 p.m.: Brand Yourself with a WordPress ePortfolio
  • Oct. 7, 3:30-4:30 p.m.: Style Your WordPress with Plugins
  • Oct. 21, 7-8 p.m.: Introduction to Photo Editing with Photoshop

*For the Advanced HTML & CSS class, we recommend attending the previous two workshops or having a basic knowledge of HTML & CSS.

No registration is required, and you may attend only those sessions that interest you. General computer skills are required, but you do not need specialized prior knowledge.
