Banned Books Trading Cards (Collect ’em all!)

UPDATE (Oct. 5): Didn’t get a chance to pick up your cards? Missing a day? Cards will be available in the UNC libraries listed below through Friday, Oct. 9. After that date, they will be available for purchase only through the Friends of the Chapel Hill Library.

——————————————————-

It’s a Chapel Hill tradition. Every year, local artists and the Chapel Hill Public Library (CHPL) turn seven banned books into trading cards during Banned Books Week.

This year, we’re proud to partner with CHPL by distributing the trading cards in selected UNC libraries.

Stop by one of these locations to pick up your cards and celebrate your Freedom to Read! We’ll make a new card available each day from Sept. 27 through Oct. 3.

Taking a selfie with your card? Be sure to tag it #UNCLibrary so that we can look for your post!

Thank you to the Chapel Hill Public Library for making these cards freely available at UNC! See all of the entries on CHPL’s Flickr album.

We’ll update below as each day’s card becomes available.
