Gifts and Grants

#TarHeelTuesday at the UNC Libraries

It’s always a Great Day to Be a Tar Heel. Today, #TarHeelTuesday, is a day to give back.

Private support allows UNC’s libraries to build collections, acquire new technologies, foster innovation, and update physical spaces.

Current giving priorities for the University Library include the Southern Folklife Collection and the Southern Historical Collection. At the same time, flexible, unrestricted funds to the University Library Endowment have never been more important than they are right now.

A gift in any amount to the University Library allows you to become a Friend of the Library. You will receive advance notification of events and exhibits, and a subscription to the biannual newsletter, Windows. With a gift of $25 or more, you are also eligible to receive a library card that allows you to borrow books from any UNC library.

The newly published Fall, 2015, issue of Windows Magazine highlights the transformative power of private support to provide critical collections, train the next generation of Carolina librarians, and  create innovative new services such as the Research Hub.
