Louisburg Aug 2nd 1864

Mrs Joiner

Dear Madam

I write at the request of my Nephew Capt Iredell Foster to inform you that your son was severely wounded in the head and sent to Mount Jackson Capt Foster would have written to you himself had he not been ? for time Mr Minatree and Col Harvile Harris will ? Franklinton Fryday morning for Mount Jackson for Oliver Harris who was wounded at the same time your son was I mention this in case you may wish to go or send any thing to your son Though a stranger you have my deepest sympathy
