The French Lieutenant’s Woman

Antony Harrison and Nan Miller discuss John Fowles’s 1969 novel The French Lieutenant’s Woman, which was released as a film in 1981 with screenplay by Harold Pinter.

At the time of this interview, Harrison, a Fellow at the National Humanities Center (1981-82), was professor of English at North Carolina State University. Miller was also professor of English at North Carolina State University.
