Ethics and Moral Education

Ethics at both individual and social levels in the United States is the focus of renewed attention in business and the professions, education, government, and churches. Edmund Pincoffs outlines social, historical, and technological reasons for this new interest, and he speaks about teaching ethics in the public schools.

At the time of this interview, Pincoffs, a Fellow at the National Humanities Center (1981-82), was professor of philosophy at the University of Texas.

This edition of Soundings was conducted by Wayne J. Pond.
