Gifted and Talented Education

How does American education treat gifted and talented students? Who defines them, and to what educational and social ends? What should parents and students know about gifted and talented education? These questions are addressed by Denis DoyleJames Gallagher, and Gail Huffman.

At the time of this interview, Doyle was director of education policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. Gallagher was professor of education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Gail Huffman was professor of education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
