The CDR in 2020
We’ve been hard at work to make research openly available this year! Here are some highlights:
- We added 32,727 works to the CDR
- We recorded 343,320 unique pageviews and 1,190,486 downloads
- The most downloaded work was “Social Media Use and Its Impact on Body Image: The Effects of Body Comparison Tendency, Motivation for Social Media Use, and Social Media Platform on Body Esteem in Young Women“, which had 8,029 downloads
Our notable projects this year include:
- We added large batches of works from a 1Science report in April and October
- We launched a project to preserve coronavirus research at UNC-Chapel Hill
- We launched a project to review faculty CVs to support UNC Libraries remote work during COVID-19
- We optimized the CDR platform for Google Scholar
- We added a bulk import and export tool for repository administrators
In December, we published a report that highlights the work done this year. Read the full report! Previous years’ reports, including updates on the CDR’s open content initiatives are available in the Carolina Digital Repository Reports collection.
