The CDR in 2023
We’ve been hard at work to make research openly available this past year! Here are some highlights:
- We added 5,417 works to the CDR, mostly from library initiatives and open access projects
- We recorded 260,800 unique pageviews and 2,183,767 downloads
- The most downloaded work was the dissertation Defining the French Empire: Memory, Politics and National Identity, which had 15,682 downloads
Our notable projects this year include:
- We continued to review CVs of UNC faculty and deposit eligible scholarship.
- We continued a project to preserve coronavirus research at UNC-Chapel Hill.
- We partnered with the Department of African, African-American and Diaspora Studies to host the new occasional journal Africana Public Interest Journal
- We hosted manuscript images of endangered Islamic texts:
Earlier this month, we published a report that highlights the work done this year. Read the full report! Previous years’ reports, including updates on the CDR’s open content initiatives are available in the Carolina Digital Repository Reports collection.
