William Harmon is the award-winning author of five books of poetry and the editor of the Oxford Book of American Light Verse.
Grover Smith is the author of T. S. Eliot’s Poetry and Plays and a study of Eliot’s The Waste Land.
At the time of these interviews, Harmon was professor of English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Smith was professor of English at Duke University.
